I had to go back to Majuro for a medical leave. After my check up, everything turned out fine. The plane needed a new propeller, so it was down for 2 weeks and I had to stay in Majuro. Finally Capt. Joel was able to get Adam and I onto a boat to Jaluit called the Jouj Juon. We got to the dock at 10:00 when the boat was supposed to leave, but they had a hydraulic hose bust on the lift. They decided to take off anyway then about 1 mile out they turned around and came back to the dock. Now Capt. Joel had gone home and Adam and I stayed sleeping on the boat all night until we got woke up at about 4:00 a.m. by a heavy rain. Then we walked to the store to get some breakfast at about 8:00 a.m. and to try to call Capt. Joel to tell him what’s going on. We never got a hold of him, but someone from the church drove by us walking and told him they saw us, so he came out to see what was happening. Finally about 1:00 p.m. the hose got fixed and we left again. We get out in the lagoon and start driving in circles, because of some rudder problem I heard. About 5:00 p.m. we are out into the open ocean with the boat rocking like a pendulum on a clock and Adam gets sea sick. Everything was cool I was alright up until about 3:00 a.m. when the captain turned the engines to idle. Here I am out in the middle of the Pacific somewhere only God knows where, staring though the back window of the cabin on the upper deck of the ship at a captain scratching his head in disarray. I didn’t know if the rudder busted or the navigation failed, and I was really too scared to ask at this point. There I was rocking back and forth praying that some rouge wave doesn’t come and kill us all. God drew me very close to him that night. Needless to say we did arrive safely in Jabor at about 1:00 that afternoon, where the captain and his crew were praying to God and I'm sure thanking him. Oh by the way Jouj Juon means (Grace One) in Marshallese.

Just some thought's
Is jealousy natural to God as his anger is? Jesus got angry at the injustice of others, but not at his own injustice. I'm sure he knew that his sufferings were just, because of his great love for us. S o anger is healthy if applied appropriately. OK, think of a bullet cast into a fire... How long would you stand around? But chambered in a gun it's a powerful arm. Catch my drift? Without God to guide and direct our path we are like a crooked arrow in the quiver.
Now this jealousy thing is a bit tougher for me to understand, but I'll give it a shot. Maybe an old paradigm or something but when I think of the word jealousy, I think intense grief, indescribable pain, and suffering to it's ultimate degree. "My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Jesus in Matthew 26:36. God also declares he is jealous in the 10 commandments, Exodus 20:5. So if God is perfect, Holy, and loves us with a love our minds can't possibly fathom, then if he's jealous for us it's for good reason. Well that's about all I know, this defiantly needs more study.

Peace
Sometimes I find myself in robot mode, you know when your "just going thrrough the motions" of a church member. Then God hits you with some hard truth, either from his word, from his spirit, from someone on the street or at home. Then it's like someone splashing ice water on your face to wake you. You begin running around in a panic like a chicken with it's head chopped off until you finally crash. Now your where he needs you... Empty... Only doing his work through his spirit... It's here where I find peace.
Street Life
Howzit everbody?,
Our team Joey, Jess, Martina, and I have met a few friends out on the street here. Carlton who was a very laid back easygoing drunk. His wife on the other hand is a wild and violent drunk woman from northshore. Rob's prayed and talked with Carlton a couple times, but when I asked to pray with his wife she responded with "you arn't GOD," and began little fits of rage. On one of our Saturday night services, when we go out to the streets armed with sandwiches and love, a group of us met with Carlton's wife and some others. I asked her where Carlton was? She started to stand up slowly saying "where's carLTON? WHERE'S CARLTON!? I'll show you where he is!!!" I stood my ground gracefully and looked in her eyes briefly with compassion, and the spirit must of moved or something, cause just as soon as she was up she sat back down grumbling something incohearant. One of the other guy's there said he's in the hopsital with a concusion. Marla calming down a bit handed me some poloroids of Carlton wrapped up like a mummy in the ICU. The guy who said he's in the hospital, ((I forget his name now)) asked Amberly if we could pray for him. So Amberly and I prayed with him and for Carlton. Later on that night Rob walked up to that same group but Marla was gone by then, so they told him she was the one who put Carlton in the ICU. I guess they were to scared to say something with her right there, and for every right they should be"SHE'S MEAN!!!"
The next week we heard the word on the street was Carlton was better, so we felt like that was an answer to prayer and praised Jesus. The next week though we found out it was bad info we got and Carlton had passed on. I'm sure the Lord called him home for a reason, Even if I don't understand why he does. Man one minute your here the next...

Agape
If I talk with the lips of a man or an angel, but I don't love, I'll sound as broken glass or a babies scream. If I have the ability to predict the future, and can understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have faith to move mountains, but don't love, I am nothing. If I give all I have to the poor, and surrender my flesh to the flames, but don't love, I gain nothing.
Loves patient, it's kind, it doesn't envy or boast, it's not proud or rude, it's not selfish or angered easily, it keeps no record of wrong. Love doesn't enjoy evil, but celebrates TRUTH.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always endures. Love never fails.
